Why new washing machines or dishwashers have water residue?

Some people notice a little water inside the appliance when they buy a new washing machine or dishwasher. Usually their reaction is very unambiguous - "what the hell is this? Probably not a new machine at all! ” Their surprise is completely understandable. We want to explain where the new washing machine or dishwasher has water residue.

New washing machine or dishwasher has water residue due to factory testing.

Let's explain. Each instrument manufactured at the factory must be tested accordingly. This is to check that everything is collected in good quality and that there is no water loss. How else will the manufacturer give his warranties if he does not know what product he is marketing? During the test, washing machines and dishwashers are flushed with water, checked for programs, operating at maximum mode, and running smoothly. This is done manually. This means that every washing machine and dishwasher is checked by a person.

Water is completely removed from the washing machine and dishwasher only when the drain hose is correctly bent. This is where problems can come from. If the tester has taken the plunge and ignored the position of the hose, this device may have some remaining test water. At warm air temperatures, the remaining water evaporates and condenses. As a result, the walls of the washing machine drum and inside the dishwasher get wet.

If transported in cold weather, the remaining water from the test is likely to remain in the sewage hose or inside the appliance itself.

There is absolutely nothing to worry about. The device is of good quality and the warranty is valid.

Another case is even rarer. Occasionally, the buyer gets the item at a great discount because it is a machine taken from the exhibit. It was a demonstration in the shop, so there may be situations where water would fall into the demonstration device.

It is also possible that the manufacturer himself instructed the shop's technical staff to re-test the appliance, resulting in water remaining. Just know that such washing machines are good and have been inspected and tested several times.

Water in the drum or inside the dishwasher does not affect the overall operation of the appliance. These devices are adapted to the daily use and drainage of water. As a result, one small water permeability test does not do much.

If you notice water, you can contact the manufacturer's representatives and service personnel who will reassure you that this is not a malfunction and that there is no need to panic.
