How to clean an oven?

Cleaning the oven is not the most enjoyable activity that the housewives try to avoid as much as possible. Roasted grease and dirt really seem like a serious challenge. How to clean the oven to keep it clean for a long time?

Allow 2 hours to clean the oven.

First, set aside more time to clean your oven than usual. 2 hours - enough time. Although the cleaning process itself is fast, preparation for it can take time.

True, some tend to clean the oven in the evening. The oven is lubricated with detergents and left overnight. Then in the morning all that remains is to clean everything clean with a damp sponge or cloth.

The best remedies are soda and vinegar.

No need for very sophisticated oven cleaners or other chemicals. Everything can be done with the simplest soda and vinegar and a little water.

The recipe is very simple - pour half a cup of soda powder with water and mix well until the soda turns into a white paste. Then apply it on the biggest dirt and leave it to soak. While the soda is doing its job, take care of the other 2 oven dirt hoppers - the door and the grill.

Attention! Do not apply soda paste on heating elements in any way - it may then ignite and emit an unpleasant odor.

You will need a slightly different paste to clean the door. A tablespoon of soda, a tablespoon of vinegar, a tablespoon of water and mix everything. Then we apply such a paste on the inside of the door. Support and wash a little with a clean cloth.

The grill is the most difficult to wash. Washing them in the dishwasher can cause rust, so it is recommended to wash them by hand. One of the most effective ways is to wash the grill in the bath. You lay out an unnecessary towel or rag and place a grill on it. Add washing powder or laundry liquid and add warm water to cover the grill. The longer they stay in such soapy water, the faster they will wash off.

If the dirt is hard to wash off even after soaking the soda paste, a sliver of vinegar will fix everything. Just add pure vinegar to the sprayer and spray the non-washable areas. A few minutes and you can clean them.

Remember to wear rubber gloves when using vinegar and garden.

Why? If that solution already breaks down stale fats and food debris, then what can it do to your sensitive skin? .. You wouldn’t want to experience and learn about it. It is better to already use latex gloves, which can be purchased in every supermarket.

Bowl of water before cleaning.

If your oven is very wet, arrange a "sauna" for it before you start washing it. Fill a ceramic bowl with water and place in the oven after removing all grills and tins. Set the temperature to more than 100 degrees so that the water in the bowl boils. The steam helps to soften the grease and burnt food residue on the oven walls.

Self-cleaning ovens.

If your oven has a self-cleaning function, do not consider it necessary to clean it completely. The dirt itself does not evaporate anywhere - it will need to be cleaned. True, napkins will suffice.

The self-cleaning function is not available on all models. One should understand how this feature works. The oven is preheated to maximum temperature for a while. During such heating, the dirt simply burns. All that is left is the scalp, which can be cleaned with a simple sponge when the oven has cooled down. This feature consumes a lot of electricity and can emit an unpleasant burning smell, which is why it is not used often. Vinegar and soda are much safer products, by the way, neutralizing not only fat, but also unpleasant odors.

If you would like to use household chemicals - please. Keep in mind that these are ordinary fat-removing liquids and sprays that work in the same way as soda with vinegar. Only they contain lemon or lavender scents that provide additional substances, as well as less damage to the skin. The basic principle of operation has remained the same:

Spray> Hold to soak> Wipe.
