How to choose a TV?

We could talk about TV for hours and you read as many articles and all sorts of leads. Let us agree that we will not waste each other's time and will only tell you what is most important without any curtains. We share tips on how to choose a TV everyday, so there are a few that really help you make a decision.

Price

price of TV leaves at the end or does not mention it at all. Bad attitude! If you can afford a TV for $ 500, then we will not offer you a TV for $ 1,500 because the features are very similar and the difference is huge. Keep in mind that the newer the model, the higher its price. Would you consider buying a good 2017 model instead of the 2018 new model at triple the price? Price is very important. Just decide what features you can sacrifice...

Essential and non-essential functions

Do you really need hard disk recording if you are going to watch only 12 free digital TV channels? Very doubtful... This would require you to see what features you can dismiss. If you only watch 12 channels, you do not need 4K resolution. It originated 3 years ago, and Lithuanian TV channels are only now on FullHD. It may take another 10 years before you switch to 4K, so you probably don't need 4K resolution. If you are watching content from Netflix or other online TV, 4K is a must because it is there that 4K content comes first. Thus, non-essential functions should be distinguished and not paid for. All you need now is fullHD resolution, Smart TV (Internet), PC-to-TV video transfer and ... everything. By the way, 3D is not required for older models as well. It is disappearing at a very fast pace because nobody needs it. The curved screen is not to be tempted either, as it is not exclusive, only the space on the wall is more...

Display size - by home

If your room is small, you can forget about large diagonals. You can't have them! If you buy a big TV and watch it from a very close distance, you will be damaged. Then you curse the day someone offered you an expensive high-definition TV. How do I know what kind of diagonal TV I need? Sit on the couch watching TV and see where your head is. From that place, measure the distance to the shelf or wall where your TV will be. The distance between your eyes and the TV should be 1.5 times the diagonal of the TV. If your eyes are 3 meters from your wall, you are free to watch a 200 cm TV. This is a 50-inch diagonal TV. Larger is not recommended.

Plasma LED, OLED?

OLED is still a very expensive technology, so not everyone will afford it, so opt for an LED (LCD). Plasma TVs come in superb colors, so if you're watching sports or nature shows, this type of TV will show you what it pays to do - broadcasting in black and providing great contrast. Otherwise they are not very different from LEDs.

Follow your common sense and choose a good TV.
