A humidifier filters the air in your room and saturates it with moisture. To create moisture, the water must be heated to steam. The humidifier has certain operating limitations. For example, it effectively operates from 50 to 60 square meters. area indoors. If the rooms are larger, the effect of the humidifier is not so obvious. 

Air filtration system 

One of the essential advantages of modern humidifiers is the air filtration system. The air taken from the room is filtered out several times and only then discharged with moisture. In this way, the humidifier also performs the functions of an air purifier. This is especially true for people with allergies and respiratory diseases. When the air is fresh in the house, it is really nice to be there and especially to sleep.

Air filtration is performed using several different filters:

1. Air filter. It is a filter made of cotton or another material, the purpose of which is to collect dust and dirt floating in the air. This filter is also called a prefilter or pre-filter. It is washable and does not need to be changed.

Because it is a mechanical fan, it makes a noise. For this reason, it is very important to choose models with the lowest noise level. Some are very quiet, making them suitable for night use. Ultrasonic humidifiers have no fan, only an ionizer and filtration system. As a result, they make almost no sound at all. Air is vented through all sides at a 360-degree angle. As a result, the devices are round or oval.

The disadvantage of such ultrasonic humidifiers is that they can clean and humidify relatively small rooms - 20-25 sq.m. area. It is a small child’s room, a bedroom, but not a living room. Such a humidifier can also be used at night, as it does not emit an audible sound to a person. 

Is it worth buying a humidifier? 

The most primitive humidifier is a plastic or ceramic container with water on the radiator. But is it worth buying an electric humidifier? It emits noise, uses electricity, so it is natural that such a question arises.
The answer is simple - definitely worth it. And the reason is not so much the humidification and steam release itself, but the air purification system. You can feel the difference as soon as you ventilate the bedroom well - you will wake up much better in the morning.

No need to suffer from respiratory illnesses to understand all the benefits. All the more so as there are relatively inexpensive but high quality humidifiers.
