Food prepared on the grill is healthier and more natural than roasting - which all good food lovers and gourmets know. The reason is very simple - the food is baked a little from the base, so all the fat goes away. It is heated in dry heat rather than stewed in fat and steam. As a result, every home should have an electric grill, as it is a great way to cook steaks, burgers, sausages, fish, chicken wings or shanks. Even the barbecue grill is different - richer and more unique in taste. Vegetables can also be fried. 

Electric grill is in high demand in Lithuania. Why? Because it is particularly suited to the new “national” dish - kebab;)

And the price range varies from 30 to 300 euros. What kind of electric grill should occur in your particular home? Here are some tips to help you make your decision.

How often do you grill food?

Grill troubles - cleaning. 

Cleaning the grill is difficult. When frying fat from the side or neck, remove them carefully, avoiding scratching the hotplate. If you rarely cook, it won't be a big problem. However, if you need to grab a grill every 15 minutes every weekend, you will definitely think about buying a special function grill with removable cooking tables. Some models have such tables. They can be safely dishwasher-safe (in dirty pot mode as it requires a little soaking), so the cleaning problem is solved.

Sandwiches, steaks or meat balls? 

Generally, the electric grill is known for its function of baking hot sandwiches. It heats on both sides simultaneously pressing the food inside. Sandwiches often contain cheese, so it melts, flows, and fries. Once the cleaning problem has been solved, you should decide whether to bake only sandwiches or whether to bake eggs, vegetables, thin bacon for breakfast? These foods do not need to cover the top. Homemade burgers are especially popular now. They need meals, but they do not need to be covered. What to do when you have a lot of minced meat and need a few servings? The solution is electric grills opening at 180 degrees. Yes, the top table opens so that both form an almost continuous area. It can be used to cook vegetables and eggs, minced meat and thin sausages. Not all models have this feature, so you should check out which ones you have if you want more varied cooking methods. 

Fat drain tray

If an electric grill helps you to cook juicy steaks and steaks, look for models with a fat drain pan - useful. Fats and marinade that have escaped from the meat usually accumulate on the griddle. Because the meat is slightly raised on the ribs, its fat does not reach. However, they do not disappear and continue to be heated. If the grease sticks between the grease, it increases, which means extra time for cleaning. There are models that have special fat collecting vessels. Fat runs into special holes on the sides while frying, so the cooking tables are always dry. To remove grease, remove the fat drawer and rinse it. Easy and simple. 

Changeable baking surfaces

It is common for both surfaces of the electric grill to be reeled - with coils. But they are mostly for hot sandwiches. On such tables it is quite difficult to fry small pieces of meat as well as eggs. For this reason, some models have optional replacement tables. They come in two types - pans and waffles. The baking surfaces are just plain like the bottom of a normal pan. They can be used to make pancakes, eggs and Chinese stew with rice. Another surface is devoted to a specific pastry - waffles. Instead of buying an electric waffle separately, you can simply buy waffle baking surfaces. Of course, only some models have such features. Some manufacturers sell these surfaces separately, others put them in the kit immediately, which increases the price of the product. After all, the tables are made of special steel alloys. 

Adjustable height of surfaces

A three-tiered sandwich requires a lot of space and a thin meal a little. How do I not press or press both surfaces at all? Here you can adjust the height of both surfaces. Usually there are 4-6 height modes. Adjustable manually before baking. The greater the height range, the wider the range of food being prepared. 

Electronic control 

Electronic grill control can be understood very differently. For some it is a green light when the sandwich is ready, for others a beep, and for others it is set using levers and an LED display. There are all kinds of models. Some of them even need to specify what kind of meat we fry and how it should be cooked. This means that the barbecue itself can prepare a steak for medium roast beef - all you have to do is specify the meat and how much to roast it ...
Some models even have meat temperature sensors. Just connect the sensor to the grill, insert the other end into the steak to the middle and bake. When the temperature inside the meat reaches the required level, the grill switches off automatically.
